Demetrius A. Thompson
Goes by Heru — "Heru Da Guru" across his project work.
Demetrius A. Thompson is a developer, published author, and community advocate building the JacAI product family end to end. A William M. Raines High School alumnus, he was a five-letter athlete and an All-Gateway Conference All-American Fullback in soccer, sharing a roster with future NFL Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins. He went on to study Math and Engineering at Bethune-Cookman University before moving into a professional career spanning accounts receivable, corporate collections, and banking — where he holds BSA, FDCPA, and FCRA certifications.
Since publishing his first book, The Rainforest Project, in 2005, he has authored more than ten titles. That same drive to build and teach carries into his community work: he founded Racing Club Elite, a youth training program covering five major sports and STEM education, and established help centers in underserved Jacksonville neighborhoods teaching web development, publishing, cryptocurrency, and basic computer skills. He currently serves as an assistant track coach for the Jacksonville Pal Roadrunners.
JacAI is where all of that comes together — the same instinct for breaking complex systems into teachable steps (Code University), the same eye for making people's lives easier (the AI Court Coach), and the same hustle that's authored ten books applied to shipping software.
